The Liberal View: YOUR Money Belongs to Us!
Why are Conservatives so evil for taking a stand on private property (i.e. house, car, money, etc)? If a person is smart enough to earn his/her own money, aren’t they smart enough to know how to spend it as well?
If we could get people to stop throwing up ad hominem arguments such as greed, racism, for-the-rich and selfish every 5 seconds, then there would be hope of a fruitful dialogue. I am truly convinced that many liberals do not want an honest dialogue. Why? Because it would reveal an immoral goal of progressivism – to confiscate private earnings from individuals to that of a government monopoly.
Consider the recent school choice program that Gov. Mitch Daniels passed in Indiana. Critics of this recent legislation often argue that money will be siphoned away from the public school. To assume that the money will be “siphoned away” assumes a position of possession or entitlement. Newsflash! The money does not belong to the unions or the public schools in the first place. The money belongs to the taxpayer! You know…..the ones that actually had the money taken out oftheir paychecks? This is a prime example of where liberals believe that the public school system should have a government monopoly on taxpayer revenues.
When the union’s “siphoning” nightmare did come to pass recently in Indiana many parents fled the public school system like the bubonic plague. If the public schools want to draw that crowd back in, they just have to step up their efforts and compete now.
On a bigger scale, this issue is not about the public school system, per se. It is about the idea that progressives believe that private property belongs to the State (i.e. Federal Government). Someone reading this may draw the conclusion that I am exaggerating this idea of private property. Let me remind my progressive audience of the words of Karl Marx:
“The theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property.” (Communist Manifesto, Chapter II ~1848)
How is this 1848 quote relevant for today? Karl Marx is long dead, but his ideology lives on. Our current President has admitted in his own book that he has surrounded himself with Marxists (See: Dreams from My Father, pgs. 99-100). Would this not have an influence on the legislation that liberals are currently pushing for? If you’re still in doubt of the Communistic influence then please explain why the Communist Party USA has endorsed President Obama for 2012?
Even the Brookings Institution exposed the principle of the modern left-wing tax policy as such:
“All revenue of individuals and corporations in the United States belongs to the government – whatever sums are left in private hands are a gift of the government.”(See: To Harass Our People, The IRS and the Abuse of Power, George Hansen, pg 169)
You might want to re-read that quote slowly and let it sink in.
What other institution can you think of where someone else reaps the benefits of another person’s labor? I’ll give you a big hint. It starts with an “S”. To Conservatives, that quote rings tyranny, despotism and the “S-word”…….. slavery! In the institution of slavery, you have no rights to your personal property, income, etc. The will of the individual is ignored.
Because Christian Conservatives stand firmly against covetousness (the desire to take other people’s property per Exodus 20:17); Marxists hate us for our stance.
This is precisely why separating the population from Christianity from an authoritative, moral God is a prerequisite of Communism/Socialism/Progressivism.
Karl Marx also stated that, “But Communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion, and all morality, instead of constituting them on a new basis; it therefore acts in contradiction to all past historical experience.” (See: Communist Manifesto, Chapter II)
Christians, are you soaking this in? Communism/Socialism/Liberalism seeks to invalidate your faith. It seeks to legalize theft and covetousness in the form of taxes. How can you call theft wrong if Communists are successful in abolishing morality? In their worldview your Bible is null and void. This is precisely why your tax dollars fund the cold-blooded murder of babies (abortion) – in America and other countries abroad. How is voting this way consistent with your faith?
And no Mr. Skeptic, this article is not a plea against Romans 13 or paying taxes in general. Conservatives don’t have problems paying taxes in line with the original principles of the Constitution.
The talks of racism, being “for the rich” and greed are just smoke and mirrors to the real issues at hand. Ask yourself if the money you work for belongs to you or the government first.
“The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the law of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.” (John Adams)
